New communications officer for IWP

IWP has a new community communications officer. Steve Menzies was recruited from the Ministry of Environment in New Zealand where he was the Public Awareness Adviser. In that post he was responsible for developing New Zealand’s first national “social marketing” programme designed to promote environmentally friendly behaviour and improve the quality of life of all New Zealanders. In 2003 Steve was Project Manager of the ’Reduce Your Rubbish’ campaign, a national social marketing project that was developed in partnership with 16 regional councils.
