This project was a key step towards a long-term goal of the restoration of Nu'utele (108 ha) and Nu'ulua (25 ha) islands, two of the four islands of the Aleipata group, off the eastern end of Upolu Island, Samoa.  Nu'utele and Nu'ulua are major sites for the conservation of Samoa's indigenous biodiversity.
