You can now register for the 10th Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation and Protected Areas hassle-free online by making full payment through the conference website using credit card or PayPal. Held in New Caledonia at the Tjibaou Cultural Centre from 19 to 24 April 2020, the conference is an important opportunity for professionals in the field, community members, Government representatives, students, and interested members of the public to be involved in  the Pacific region’s most significant conservation event.

Registration for the conference has been made easier with the inclusion of an online payment option during registration which can be accessed on the conference website. By going to the website and choosing the option to ‘Register and Buy Now’ just follow the steps and confirm payment with a credit or PayPal to secure your spot at the conference before spaces run out!  There is also an option to request an invoice and pay by bank transfer.

Options for online registration and payment are General Pass, Speaker Pass, Student Pass, General Day Pass and Student Day Pass which, depending on your selection, will give you access to the full 6 days of the conference or selected days for those who may not be able to attend the whole event, as well as receiving the conference registration pack upon arrival at the venue, meal provisions, and much more.

The theme for the conference is: ‘Nature Conservation Action for a Resilient Pacific.’

The conference is hosted by the Government of New Caledonia in coordination with the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) and the Pacific Islands Roundtable for Nature Conservation (PIRT).

 “The Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation and Protected Areas is an important event for the region for setting a Pacific initiated agenda for conservation and we are excited to meet with the community, scientists, researchers, organisations, governments and projects who are working in biodiversity conservation in the region,” said Ms Amanda Wheatley, SPREP Biodiversity Adviser.
