The theme for the conference is: ‘Nature Conservation Action for a Resilient Pacific.’

The conference is hosted by the Government of New Caledonia in coordination with the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) and the Pacific Islands Roundtable for Nature Conservation (PIRT).

“The Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation and Protected Areas is an important event for the region for setting a Pacific initiated agenda for conservation and we are excited to meet with the community, scientists, researchers, organisations, governments and projects who are working in biodiversity conservation in the region,” said Ms Amanda Wheatley, SPREP Biodiversity Adviser.
