7 – 11 September 2026, Tjibaou Cultural Centre, Noumea, New Caledonia
The 11th Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation and Protected Areas will be hosted in partnership with the Government of New Caledonia, SPREP and the Pacific Islands Roundtable for Nature Conservation.

| "The 11th Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation is far more than a regional meeting: it is an invitation to all Pacific countries to come together, share ideas, and take collective action for our blue continent and our planet. Historic milestones like the BBNJ Agreement on the High Seas and the global 30x30 target provide us with an ambitious framework. Now, it is up to us - the Peoples of the Pacific - to champion it with a strong and united voice." - Hon. Katidjo-Monnier, the Minister of Sustainable Development and Climate Change of New Caledonia. | “It is fitting that we gather in New Caledonia, home to the Natural Park of the Coral Sea one of many initiatives demonstrating New Caledonia’s commitment to protecting and conserving our natural environment and uniting us for a better future for all. At the 11th Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation and Protected Areas, we will come together to advance Pacific solutions to the Triple Planetary Crisis of biodiversity loss, climate change, and pollution. SPREP looks forward to partnering with you all to nurture and invest in the commitments and actions needed for a stronger Pacific environment — one that builds resilience and enables our Blue Pacific to thrive.” – Mr Sefanaia Nawadra, Director General, Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP). | “Our natural environment faces increasing challenges, and we cannot work alone to address them. We must collaborate across countries, organisations, sectors, cultures, genders and age groups to protect nature because co-designed and co-implemented solutions are strong, sustainable solutions. At the 11th Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation the Pacific Islands region will adopt the Framework for Nature Conservation 2026 – 2030, laying the groundwork for how we collaborate. Be part of the discussion and come along to reinforce relationships, get the latest updates and co-create new ways to combat the triple planetary crisis of climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss.” – Ms Jacqueline Evans, Chair of the Pacific Islands Roundtable for Nature Conservation |
