Explore how climate science, seasonal prediction and traditional knowledge come together to support smarter decision-making and resilience building. In this session, you’ll also get early insights of what we can expect in the developing El Niño. This session is a great opportunity to gain insights into regional Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems (MHEWS). Operating through the Pacific Regional Climate Centre (RCC) Network and the Weather Ready Pacific initiative, SPREP translates macro-level ENSO forecasts into actionable, localized data. By equipping National Meteorological Services with enhanced forecasting tools, SPREP bridges the gap between science and early action. This vital coordination ensures vulnerable island communities can proactively prepare for compounding climate risks.
