Convention Secretariat

SPREP is the Secretariat of the Noumea Convention, Waigani Convention and Apia Convention.

SPREP's role as Secretariat includes:

• Facilitating effective function of the COP and its subsidiary bodies through administrative, logistical, management and procedural support;
• Reporting on work done as well as administrative and budgetary matters; 
• Keeping Parties informed and communicating information received from one Party to other Parties;
• Implementing COP decisions and supporting parties' implementation of COP decisions.
