Taule’ale’ausumai was a keen supporter of the work of SPREP and was well known for his dedication to environmental management and protection in Samoa.

He had most recently participated in the Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation and Protected Areas held in Suva, Fiji at which he showed his usual passion and drive through his active involvement throughout the week and support and encouragement to SPREP staff.

The Nature Conservation Conference was Taule’ale’a’s last official engagement before his sudden passing away.
