Experts from the Pacific region are involved in the development and delivery of the training modules.

The training programme will initially is planned in two steps, including a first virtual session, in French and English, open to all SPREP island Members.  The second phase consists of face-to-face refresher training with on-site practical modules.

Component 2: Implementation of Pilot Projects

Pilot projects addressing the four thematic areas of SWAP will be established in SWAP islands. The activities carried out will aim at addressing the specific needs of each member according to the priorities identified and specific to each territory.

Component 3: Community of Practice

The Community of Practice component aims to establish a database of all the actors and practitioners in the waste sector and to will see an exchange of knowledge and best practices to strengthen the capacity of the region.
